Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Advisor for Inclusive Development to join our team at Highlighttech. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and guidance to various teams working on inclusion and equity issues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support strategic planning and teamwork planning, and provide technical assistance to ID Hub teams.
  2. Contribute to program design, project monitoring and assessment, and communication with USAID personnel and other stakeholders.
  3. Develop and deliver high-quality work products, including reports and situation analyses.
  4. Provide technical guidance and support for select teams, including inclusion and equity, mental health, and rehabilitation/assistive technology teams.
  5. Support coordination across the ID Hub on cross-cutting inclusion and equity issues.
  6. Collaborate with Inclusive Development Hub colleagues and other technical experts to coordinate programming and develop relevant guidance materials and tools.
Requirements
  1. Master's degree in international development, public health, community development, or another relevant discipline.
  2. Minimum 10 years' experience working on international development, at least five years of which includes being based overseas.
  3. Track record of developing and delivering technical solutions and high-quality work products on schedule.
  4. Experience leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of large, complex strategic initiatives in international development.
  5. Experience working with donor-funded programs, including the provision of technical assistance to field offices.
  6. Experience leading international inclusive development efforts.
  7. Experience leading teams.
  8. Ability to obtain a secret level clearance.
  9. Ability to travel for 1-1.5 weeks at a time for up to 4 trips per year to countries where USAID has programming.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 15 years or more experience working on international development, at least five years of which includes being based overseas.
  2. Experience working with, soliciting feedback from, and facilitating projects with members of the intended beneficiary population.
  3. Management and supervisory experience.
  4. Demonstrated interest in inclusive development, social justice, and engagement with historically marginalized groups.
