About the Role

Making Cents International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Assessment and Design Team. As a Senior Inclusive Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's approach to inclusive development and ensuring that our programs and projects are designed and implemented with the needs of marginalized and underrepresented groups in mind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research and analysis to inform program design and implementation, with a focus on inclusive development practices.
  • Manage diverse assessment teams to conduct research and gather data on the needs and experiences of marginalized and underrepresented groups.
  • Provide technical assistance to USAID Missions and Operating Units to develop tools and strengthen capacity to design and implement inclusive development strategies and programs.
  • Support the development and implementation of MEL and KM systems that promote inclusive development.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure that IDAMS Tasks are of the highest quality, on time, and on budget.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in international development, education, social development, international affairs, international relations, political science, public policy, public administration, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field.
  • 4 years' relevant work experience with a PhD, or minimum 8 years' relevant work experience with a master's degree.
  • 8 years' experience in applied research related to program design, evaluation, and learning.
  • Previous experience in research or project delivery related to inclusive development, including working with marginalized populations.
  • Ability to lead diverse assessment, design, and technical assistance provision teams.
  • Familiarity with USAID strategic planning, activity design and implementation, and policies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, including reports, blogs, journal articles, and training curriculum/manuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in English.
  • Experience working in developing countries.
