We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of our clients' investable assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor all activity in client accounts on the accounting and reporting system, including cash activity, trading activity, and ensure appropriate allocation of other investment income and expenses to client accounts.
- Manage the client reporting workflow, working closely with the investment and client relations teams.
- Monitor and/or post capital calls, redemptions, subscriptions, and distributions on alternative investments in client accounts.
- Work closely with third-party vendors to ensure account and position reconciliation on investment positions, including non-marketable securities.
- Serve as a departmental expert in investment and account reconciliation processing and obtain an in-depth understanding of securities and account operations and the functionality within the core systems used.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounting/Operations.
- 2-3 years of experience with Black Diamond or similar experience required.
- Strong fundamental understanding of Securities Operations.
- Intermediate Tier Microsoft Office - Excel skill (pivot tables/charts, nested logical/IF formulas, multiple criteria lookups, arrays).
