Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our financial department, you will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of payments, managing the accounts receivable ledger, and performing general accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage the company's accounts receivable portfolio to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Initiate collection efforts via phone, email, or mail, and maintain detailed records of all communications.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to invoicing and payments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Enter general accounting bills into our financial system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing issues and improve the customer payment process.
  • Prepare and present reports related to accounts receivable and billing activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, general bookkeeping, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
