Chief Financial Officer, University of Minnesota Alumni Association

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team at the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of the organization, ensuring the effective management of assets and finances to drive growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Manage and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Lead the accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and pursue new revenue streams and business opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the University of Minnesota and external partners
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the leadership team on financial matters
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in higher education or non-profit sectors
- Advanced degree in related field (e.g., MBA, CPA) and/or professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CFA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership and management skills
