As part of AdventHealth Tampa, you will be involved in:
  • Leading advancements in cardiovascular health through the AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute.
  • Utilizing cutting-edge robotics in spine surgery as pioneers in the field.
  • Contributing to the development of a new six-story surgical and patient care facility, ensuring top-tier medical services for future generations.
  • Participating in a facility recognized for excellence in stroke care, having received prestigious awards and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Environmental Services Technician, your role will include:
  • Executing daily cleaning protocols in patient rooms, ancillary spaces, restrooms, offices, public areas, and corridors.
  • Supplying necessary materials to designated areas as required.
  • Overseeing and maintaining cleanliness standards in your assigned areas, adhering to departmental policies.
  • Engaging in exceptional customer service and fostering respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Transporting hazardous waste from its source to a secure storage location, following all safety protocols.

Training Requirements:
All employees must complete initial training on hazardous waste handling and participate in ongoing refresher courses, which will cover:
  • Safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Appropriate selection and use of personal protective equipment.

Value to the Team:
In this role, you will:
  • Adhere to scheduled tasks for waste collection and disposal.
  • Respond promptly to requests for special waste pickups.
  • Ensure trash containers are relined as necessary.
