Medical Specimen Collector

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Specimen Collector to join our team at MAKO Medical. As a key member of our phlebotomy team, you will be responsible for collecting and processing patient specimens for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect patient specimens in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
- Ensure all specimens are properly labeled, packaged, and transported to the laboratory for analysis.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of specimen collection, processing, and transportation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless specimen collection and processing.
- Adhere to departmental and company policies, protocols, and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and specimen handling.
- Perform clerical duties, such as data entry and filing, as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in phlebotomy or a related field highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift specimens as needed.
