Position:

SIGINT Systems Engineering Specialist

KBR is looking for a dedicated SIGINT Systems Engineering Specialist to join our team, contributing to mission-critical operations that support intelligence-gathering initiatives. This role involves working with advanced systems that provide essential information to the U.S. Government's Intelligence Community and Military.

The SIGINT Systems Engineering Specialist will act as a key advisor, assisting in the formulation of new mission requirements and executing essential Systems Engineering tasks, including Requirements Management, Configuration Control, Integration, Verification, Validation, and Testing (IVV&T), as well as Risk Assessment and Readiness Evaluation. This position entails representing the Government team and collaborating with development contractors throughout the agile software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and the deployment of operational mission software. The Ground Enterprise is committed to fostering innovation and agile methodologies to effectively address intelligence requirements and expedite the delivery of critical information to decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish SIGINT requirements
  • Develop and coordinate Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systems
  • Translate requirements into Epics and Features based on evolving customer needs
  • Understand and manage system-to-system interfaces, acting as an Integrator
  • Evaluate performance using established criteria and technical performance metrics
  • Monitor schedules and dependencies across systems and segments
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Facilitate readiness and release planning events, including demonstrations for system and acquisition-level sprints
  • Review and assess Request for Changes (RFCs), identifying impacts and authoring RFCs for the customer
  • Support automated testing and verification within Agile and DevOps frameworks
  • Integrate new systems and initiatives to enhance SIGINT mission planning and scheduling capabilities, collaborating directly with developers and operational users
  • Engage in studies focused on the future evolution of SIGINT capabilities over the next decade.
  • Possess familiarity with SIGINT ground operations and technical knowledge of mission control and processing for various SIGINT systems.
  • Demonstrate experience in identifying user needs, gaps, and potential solutions, along with assessing and analyzing alternatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
  • 5-10 years of experience in SIGINT systems engineering
  • Strong understanding of SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systems
  • Experience with system-to-system integration and interfaces
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and development teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong communication skills.
