SAIC is in search of a Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Systems Architect to deliver Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) services for a pivotal role within the Landmark GSS initiative.
The Landmark GSS initiative is dedicated to supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), which oversees the acquisition of systems throughout their entire life cycle.
In the capacity of SIGINT Systems Architect, you will play a crucial role in steering both new and existing SIGINT initiatives as they adapt to contemporary trends such as Agile methodologies, Cloud transitions, Automation strategies (AI/ML), and efficient DevOps implementations for our operational users.
As a vital member of a dynamic systems engineering team, you will provide insights to the Government Program Management Office regarding the achievements and challenges faced by SIGINT systems, along with offering recommendations for enhancements and future developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver subject matter expertise and Agile best practices to our team, while executing the following functions as a SIGINT Systems Architect, employing a comprehensive approach and ensuring end-to-end systems engineering throughout the lifecycle of our systems:
- Coordinate the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systems.
- Translate requirements into Epics/Features based on evolving customer demands.
- Comprehend system-to-system interfaces and act as an Integrator.
- Evaluate system designs and trade-space proposed and executed by our developers, in collaboration with acquisition offices (AOs).
- Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
- Monitor system and segment timelines, recognizing dependencies.
- Identify risks and opportunities.
- Facilitate readiness, release planning events, and demonstrations in support of system and acquisition-level sprints and increments.
- Review Requests for Changes (RFCs) and determine impacts, in addition to authoring RFCs for the customer.
- Support Agile and DevOps automated testing and verification (V&V).
- Integrate new systems and initiatives to enhance SIGINT mission planning and scheduling capabilities, collaborating directly with our developers and operational users.
- Engage in studies examining the future generation of SIGINT capabilities over the next decade.
- Develop architectural documentation.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field with a minimum of nine (9) years of experience; a Master's degree with seven (7) years of experience; or a PhD or JD with four (4) years of experience.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Two years of experience in space/ground aerospace systems engineering/architecture.
Familiarity with the overall SIGINT ground customer and technical knowledge of mission control and/or processing of one or more SIGINT systems.
Demonstrated communication skills, particularly with senior government officials (Lt Colonel and above).
Experience in integration and closure within the overall customer domain.
A willingness to learn new areas and adapt to evolving technologies.
A commitment to recognizing, understanding, respecting, and operating effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority.
