Job Summary

New York Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intake LPN to join our team. As an Intake LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all NYH policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Update and maintain accurate electronic patient records.
  • Record patient information, including vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history.
  • Clean and prepare examination rooms to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Work in the front office, handling tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients.
  • Assist in maintaining medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Record patient interviews, history, and chief complaints.
  • Provide patient education on medications, disease management, home treatments, and special diets.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
  • Assist physicians with exams and conduct phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens.
  • Perform basic lab tests, including EKGs, and administer medication under a physician's order.
Requirements
  • Current NYS LPN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience in a lead role or demonstrated potential to act in a lead capacity.
  • Demonstration of consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in ONCOemr.
  • Ability to travel to any of the NYCBS locations.
