Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing initial applications for locum tenens physicians, re-credentialing existing physicians, and ensuring timely and accurate submission of hospital privileging applications.
Key Responsibilities- Review and process initial applications for locum tenens physicians, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Re-credential existing physicians, verifying their credentials and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Primary source verification of physician backgrounds, including contacting hospitals, licensing boards, and medical schools.
- Monitor and report on credentialing progress, ensuring timely completion of files.
- Communicate with physicians, clients, and medical staff departments to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- At least two years of experience in medical credentialing processes, with locums experience a plus.
- Microsoft Office skills and experience with a CRM/ATS database.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a self-motivated mindset and attention to detail.
