Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess student applications and credentials according to FAU's established rubric, applying professional judgment and aligning decisions with enrollment objectives.
  • Independently render admissions decisions, consulting with Admissions/Provost leadership on appeals and further evaluations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to student information and integrity of documents.
  • Develop professional email correspondence and canned responses to communicate effectively with applicants, internal and external colleagues, and administrators.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of student files and portfolios by updating information such as test scores, essays, transcripts, and academic credentials received during the application cycle.
  • Generate and process admissions reports, including decision-ready lists, wait lists, and cancellations, collaborating closely with Information Systems staff for data extraction.
  • Provide support during recruitment events and handle inquiries from prospective students and families.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Associate Director.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytic and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to craft professional email communication to follow up with applicants and co-workers.
  • Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment, critically think, and troubleshoot.
