Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Commercial Driver to join our team at Transforce. As a Logistics Specialist II, you will be responsible for delivering building materials to customers and job sites within a 200-mile radius of our branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Building Materials: Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver building materials to customers and job sites.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Inventory Management: Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck, comparing purchase orders and sign-off on delivery tickets.
  • Job Site Inspection: Conduct a job site inspection and document any existing damage to lawn, landscaping, or driveway.
  • Documentation: Capture pictures of all building products delivered in accordance with Company Policy.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to load and unload building products that weigh up to 100 lbs. each off of a straight bed truck on a continuous basis.
  • Safe Driving Record: Must be a safe driver with no hit & runs or no DWI or DUI convictions within the last three years.
  • Experience and Knowledge: Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations for Logistic Specialists a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Age and Citizenship: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. If crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials, then the minimum age is 21. Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify Check.
