Overview:
The Department of Clinical Genetics is offering a comprehensive one-year fellowship for candidates who have successfully completed an accredited U.S. hematology/oncology fellowship program.
This fellowship integrates the extensive resources of Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University Hospital, providing fellows with a unique opportunity for both clinical and research training.
Clinical Training:
Fellows will engage in a rigorous clinical experience that encompasses a variety of genetic syndromes, tumor genetic testing, interpretation, selection of tests, counseling techniques, medical management, and post-test decision-making processes.
Research Opportunities:
Fellows will participate in mentored research, which includes:
- Formulating a research question
- Writing protocols
- Recruiting subjects
- Analyzing data
- Reporting results
This research is complemented by access to world-class oncology and clinical cancer genetics expertise, alongside the academic, clinical, and research resources available at Temple University Hospital, a recognized leader in both clinical and research domains.
Qualifications:
Education:
Doctorate Degree: MD or DO (Required)
Experience:
Completion of an ACGME accredited U.S. Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program (Required)
Licenses/Certifications:
MD-LIC - PA Medical Physician License (Required)
