Role Description

The Worldwide Procurement Finance team delivers analytical insights for essential cost metrics, encompassing standard costs, projected costs, and actual costs for Apple.

This role, situated within the Worldwide Procurement division, reports directly to the Manager of Commodity Financial Management. The ability to operate independently while managing a variety of intricate and non-standard tasks is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of crucial commodity forecasts utilized in monthly purchase price variance assessments and gross margin evaluations.
  • Providing support and direction to operational staff as challenges arise concerning supply chain or business processes.
  • Reconciling actual costs with projected costs for key commodities, conducting supply chain analysis to pinpoint significant cost change drivers.
  • Reconciliation and examination of Apple supply chain data against contract manufacturer and supplier data.
  • Preparation of quarter-end accounting entries necessary for accurately reflecting the costs of key commodities in financial statements.
  • Addressing other ad hoc requests related to supply chain business process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years of professional experience in Finance or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
  • Proficient in articulating complex analyses to a non-technical audience, with substantial experience presenting to leadership.
  • Capable of initiating, refining, and completing projects with minimal oversight.
  • Adept at managing large data sets and understanding the broader context.

Critical Thinking:
Ability to analyze numbers, trends, and data to derive new insights based on findings.
Effectively navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a range. This structure allows for growth as you advance within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $107,300 and $161,300, with actual base pay dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
