Position Overview

As a key member of the Apple Finance team, you will contribute to the financial analysis of commodity costs, playing a vital role in supporting the company's strategic objectives.

Our Finance organization is dedicated to excellence, and we are looking for individuals who share our commitment to innovation and quality.

This role is situated within the Worldwide Procurement Finance group, where you will provide analytical support for essential cost data, including standard, forecasted, and actual costs.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation of critical commodity forecasts for monthly purchase price variance and gross margin analysis.
  • Offering support and insights to operational teams regarding supply chain and business process challenges.
  • Reconciling actual costs with forecasted costs to analyze key commodity supply chain dynamics and identify significant cost drivers.
  • Conducting reconciliation and analysis of Apple supply chain data against contract manufacturer and supplier data.
  • Preparing quarter-end accounting entries to accurately reflect the cost of key commodities in financial statements.
  • Handling additional ad hoc requests related to supply chain business process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance or a related field.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a relevant discipline.
Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:
  • 3+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex analyses to non-technical audiences, including experience presenting to leadership.
  • The ability to initiate, refine, and complete projects with minimal oversight.
  • Experience working with large datasets and a capability to understand the broader context.
Critical Thinking Skills

Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • The ability to analyze numbers, trends, and data to derive new insights.
  • Proficiency in managing ambiguity and uncertainty.
Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

The base pay range for this role is between $107,300 and $161,300.

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and discounted stock purchases.

Additional benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, product discounts, and reimbursement for educational expenses related to career advancement.
