Robust Medical Device Security Expert

As a Senior Principal Product Security Engineer at Medtronic, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the company's mission to advance healthcare through innovative technologies.
This role is ideal for an experienced cybersecurity professional who is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest trends and threats specific to medical devices and health software products.
You'll be responsible for leading efforts to embed security into the product development lifecycle, ensuring that security considerations are integrated from design through deployment.
This includes medical device, OT, ICS, IoT, and enterprise security processes/standards.
You'll also have the opportunity to work with a world-class team of engineers within the Medtronic's Surgical Operating Unit (OU).
Additionally, you'll be responsible for championing initiatives to bolster cyber-resiliency throughout the product's life cycle.
To be successful in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree or higher, completed and verified prior to start, and a Master's degree in related engineering or cybersecurity from an accredited institution.
Experience in mentoring and leading junior security engineers, fostering growth within the team, is also highly desirable.
Proficiency in secure coding methodologies and standards, as well as compliance with industry standards and regulations related to medical device and health software product security, is also required.
The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
