Principal System Administrator Linux SME

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal System Administrator Linux SME to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for leading and collaborating with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities and serving as the Subject Matter Expert for Linux.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs.
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
- Work with engineers to develop solutions to complex IT infrastructure problems.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals to ensure the successful delivery of IT services.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- In-depth working experience in RedHat Linux environments.
- Experience with Linux/RHEL administration, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, administration and networking administration experience, Windows administration, and recovery enterprise suites.
- Lead/mentoring experience required.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
- Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
- Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
We offer a competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
