Role Overview:
The Windows Enterprise Architecture Engineer plays a crucial role in diagnosing and resolving intricate software, hardware, and technology-related environmental challenges. This includes handling Tier 4 escalations for network complications, operating systems, vulnerability management, and infrastructure support from an end-user computing perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with end-user computing (EUC) architecture and operations, network, and security teams to explore and evaluate modern technologies and processes that address operational support workflow gaps.
2. Engage with leadership in the design, automation, enhancement, and maintenance of the Windows Desktop environment, utilizing AI to enhance end-user performance and collaboration.
3. Develop and sustain automated deployment processes for software version updates, ensuring documentation is current and comprehensive.
4. Serve as an escalation point for EUC operations, focusing on advanced software installation, package distribution, and the creation of standard operating procedures for implemented solutions.
5. Conduct thorough investigations, diagnoses, and root cause analyses of incidents and problems, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Qualifications:
- Over 7 years of experience in Windows 10/11 engineering, managing 25,000+ endpoints.
- Extensive experience with Active Directory and AD Group Policy.
- Proficiency in scripting and PowerShell for over 5 years.
- Familiarity with cloud systems such as VMware Horizon, Citrix, AWS, Workspaces, Azure Virtual Desktop, or Windows 365 for at least 3 years.
- Knowledge of Windows Security, SSL certificate management, TLS configuration, and network protocols, including tools like tcp dump and Wireshark for 3+ years.
- Experience with Sysinternals Utilities and various endpoint management tools for over 3 years.
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ITIL v3 Foundations Certification.
- Professional certifications from technology vendors such as Microsoft, VMware, or Cisco.
- Knowledge of macOS, Jamf, and O365.
- Familiarity with Zscaler and ZTNA.
