Job Summary:

Mountain Empire Community College invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach Biology classes in the area of General Biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom or online environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology classes in the area of General Biology
  • Plan and deliver coursework electronically in an online environment
  • Utilize multiple teaching strategies to engage students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Biology or Master's with 18 graduate hours in Biology
  • Ability to transfer and deliver coursework electronically in an online environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology into instruction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience in college-level courses
  • Wide range of coursework through the Biology subject area
