Job Summary:

Mountain Empire Community College, a comprehensive two-year college serving the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach in the Division of Engineering and Industrial Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in a classroom or online environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.
  • Deliver coursework electronically in an online environment and utilizing multiple teaching strategies as well as in-person instruction.

Requirements:

  • Teaching effectiveness, academic preparation, and/or related occupational experience requirements based upon criteria in the VCCS-29: Normal Minimum Criteria for Each Faculty Rank.
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology into instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wide range of coursework in the area of instruction.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
