Job Overview

The Lead Indian Cuisine Chef is the primary culinary expert responsible for overseeing all culinary functions at a designated location.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $85,000, influenced by factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, prior experience, market data, and other pertinent elements. Additional compensation may include bonuses or commissions if applicable. This is Aramark's good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.

If hired, the employee will be in an 'at-will position,' and Aramark reserves the right to adjust base salary and any other discretionary payments or compensation programs at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to individual performance, departmental performance, and market factors.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, biryanis, and various regional delicacies.

- Innovate and develop new recipes while ensuring the authenticity and quality of traditional Indian cuisine.

- Uphold high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.

- Manage the Indian culinary station and kitchen operations, including sourcing ingredients, controlling inventory, and maintaining kitchen equipment.

- Train and supervise kitchen personnel to ensure efficient operations and compliance with food safety regulations.

- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to design menus, plan special events, and accommodate specific dietary needs.

- Ensure consistent taste, flavor, and texture of dishes through effective quality control measures.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related culinary position.

- At least 2-3 years of post-secondary education, preferably in culinary arts.

- Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the culinary field.

- Practical experience in managing personnel and addressing culinary challenges.

- Strong verbal, reading, and written communication skills.
