About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team at KCH Transportation. This critical role will play a vital part in managing day-to-day transportation operations for both drayage and domestic freight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure seamless logistics execution and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage shipment tracking, tracing, and data entry in the Transportation Management System (TMS) to guarantee accuracy and timeliness.
  • Procure dependable carriers, negotiate competitive rates, and ensure service levels meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Monitor and address urgent operational challenges, including delays caused by traffic, weather, or other unforeseen events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements, cost-saving measures, and delivery optimizations.
  • Analyze transportation data to uncover trends, optimize processes, and improve overall performance.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all operations.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and carriers.
  • Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar logistics software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems on the fly.
