Position Overview:
We are in search of a proactive and skilled professional to fill the role of Construction Supervisor. This position entails overseeing and coordinating onsite construction operations for upstream oil and gas production facilities, pipelines, gas processing plants, and SWD facilities. The Construction Supervisor will collaborate closely with the construction manager and project manager(s) to ensure quality, cost control, safety, and productivity of the construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in constructability assessments.
- Support the construction manager and project manager in executing projects as per design specifications.
- Interpret and adhere to plans, material lists, and guidelines while adhering to established timelines.
- Verify the accuracy of bill of materials and construction drawings prior to commencement.
- Read and interpret various construction documents including P&IDs, General Arrangements, ISOs, Piping Plans, and Civil Plans.
- Lead and manage crews to ensure project completion.
- Coordinate construction teams and manage simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
- Conduct safety initiatives and issue safety permit documentation.
- Compile and manage field-generated documentation such as JSAs, permits, and test reports.
- Perform inspections of ongoing work and identify necessary corrective measures.
- Monitor and address punch list items throughout the construction phase to post-commissioning.
- Identify, rectify, and document unsafe practices and near misses.
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site, free from hazards and debris.
- Submit daily reports and photographic evidence of construction progress into company systems.
- Balance resources across multiple projects effectively.
- Provide support and resources to construction crews.
- Assist Supply Chain with inventory management and tracking.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge: Familiarity with oil and gas production, construction methodologies, mechanical principles, and facility operations.
- Abilities: Proficient in scheduling, engineering drawing interpretation, mathematical reasoning, planning, prioritization, and resource coordination.
- Skills: Strong active listening, critical thinking, monitoring, time management, collaboration, and root cause analysis skills.
- Other Characteristics: Demonstrated adaptability, communication skills, initiative, interpersonal relations, resilience, and results orientation.
