Job Purpose

The Golf Shop Assistant plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service to members and guests. This position is responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for customers, from check-in to checkout.

Responsibilities

  • Process transactions and manage the Point of Sale (POS) system to ensure accurate and efficient customer service.
  • Utilize tee sheet demand management strategies to optimize booking and revenue.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pro shop environment, including stocking merchandise and assisting with display.
  • Handle customer service issues in a prompt and effective manner, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Provide leadership and support to the team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure a professional and service-oriented environment in the pro shop, utilizing excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Assist the General Manager in delivering staff meetings and implementing company initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills and the ability to write and communicate clearly.
  • Experience handling customer service issues, cash, and credit card transactions.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Working Conditions

  • Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.
