Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

At Lampert Lumber, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for assisting with new and existing customer sales, providing product support to outside sales representatives, and ensuring seamless customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, prices, and quotations.
  • Initiate telephone calls to customers to generate sales and obtain orders.
  • Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products, ensuring timely and accurate information on pricing specifications, uses, and availability.
  • Manage schedules for projects by coordinating with outside sales, jobsites, and assigned customers.
  • Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom, ensuring efficient inventory control.
  • Research and resolve credits, returns, and late payments as needed.
  • Check on back orders and resolve any outstanding issues, solving billing problems and compiling data for closing.
  • Handle special orders and advanced pricing, assisting with pricing and special price lists.
  • Develop and grow professional relationships with customers, resolving jobsite issues and customer problems.
  • Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the building material industry with basic knowledge of product and application required.
  • 1-3 years of inside sales experience preferred.

Travel Requirements:

50% Travel, must be able to drive.
