Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Stavis Seafoods.
Stavis Seafoods is a leading company in the seafood industry, and we are looking for a talented individual to oversee the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure accurate recording of transactions related to the payment and receipt of funds.
This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a good understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
- Post journal entries and categorize records in the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Assist management in month-end and year-end closures.
- Prepare documents for audits.
- Financial reporting as requested.
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Specialists.
- Report to the Controller and work to improve financial processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with accounting software (ex, QuickBooks, SAP, Business Central) and Microsoft Excel.
- +3 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable roles.
- Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English.
- Strong customer service skills.
Rotating schedule every week:
- Onsite
- Monday to Friday (plus overtime)
