About the Job

The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled Sleep Disorders Specialist to join our team. This role involves working closely with various staff and disciplines within the Asheville VA Medical Center to address the needs of patients with sleep disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical, physical, and biopsychosocial status
  • Perform physical examinations based on age and history
  • Update evaluations of health status to determine need for further healthcare
  • Formulate appropriate medical diagnoses based on collected data
  • Order diagnostic procedures and laboratory tests
  • Prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological agents as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree in any discipline or a bachelor's degree with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Successfully passed the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE)
  • Hold a full and unrestricted license to practice in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia
