About Our Team
At Glens Falls Hospital, we take pride in having the largest team of audiologists and hearing aid specialists in the region. Our compassionate and skilled audiology providers collaborate to elevate the quality of life for our patients. We work in conjunction with otolaryngology, primary care, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive care. In this position, you will evaluate, treat, and counsel patients of all ages experiencing hearing and balance disorders. Responsibilities include assessing hearing and balance, fitting hearing aids, and providing follow-up care for patients across the lifespan. Regular departmental meetings and training sessions on hearing aid technology will ensure you remain updated with the latest advancements in the field.

Responsibilities:
Diagnostics:
• Conduct and interpret hearing and balance assessments for diverse patient populations, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
• Counsel patients and their families regarding assessment results and recommendations.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records in an electronic medical system.

Rehabilitation:
• Develop audiological treatment plans tailored to patients of all ages.
• Create comprehensive treatment and monitoring strategies, including amplification and assistive listening devices.
• Stay informed about current amplification technologies and fitting practices.

Professionalism and Documentation:
• Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters and reports.

Qualifications:
Education:
• Doctorate Degree (AuD) in Audiology or a fourth-year AuD student in an externship program.
Licenses/Certificates:
• New York State license in Audiology required.
• Hearing Aid Dispenser registration in New York State required.
• Valid NYS Driver's License for travel between sites.
• CPR Certification required (or to be completed within 6 months of hire).
Experience:
• Familiarity with audiology methods and current hearing aid technology.
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Salary Range:
The expected base rate for this position is $30.57 to $56.11 per hour, determined based on experience, education, and certifications.
