About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at Glens Falls Hospital. As an Audiologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating, treating, and counseling patients with hearing and balance disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and interpret hearing and balance evaluations for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
  • Counsel patients and family members regarding results and provide recommendations.
  • Administer and interpret hearing and balance evaluations, including comprehensive hearing evaluations, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, OAE, AABR, tinnitus evaluations, VNG, and ototoxic monitoring.
  • Develop and implement audiological amplification treatment plans for patients across the lifespan.
  • Document encounters and generate written reports that are accurate and timely.
Requirements
  • Doctorate Degree (AuD) in Audiology or fourth year AuD student in externship program.
  • New York State license in Audiology required.
  • Hearing Aid Dispenser New York State registration required.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License for travel between sites for the provision of care and meetings required.
  • CPR Certification required (or completed within 6 months of hire via hospital training opportunities).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of current hearing aid technology.
  • Basic computer skills and use of electronic medical record.
  • Ability to use software for hearing aid fitting, word processing, and scheduling programs.
  • Interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Initiative to problem solve independently.

Glens Falls Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $30.57 to $56.11 per hour, commensurate with experience level, education, and certifications.
