Job Summary:

As a key member of the CF Industries Employee Services LLC team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant instrumentation and control systems. Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership and support for process instrumentation across all installations, developing preventive and predictive maintenance plans for the site's instrumentation and analyzer infrastructure, and troubleshooting instrumentation and analyzer issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Leadership: Lead by example and coach safety practices, supporting plant safety initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Create training plans for I/E technician teams across all plant areas.
  • Maintenance Programs: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for instrumentation and analyzers using CMMS and process control network data.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze and repair failed controls and instrumentation, assisting I/E technicians.
  • Control Strategies: Implement basic and advanced control strategies to troubleshoot plant control issues.
  • Coordination: Utilize DCS configuration tools and instrumentation knowledge to solve complex plant problems through communication with operations, plant engineers, and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Computer/Electronics Engineering preferred).
  • Experience: Three to five years of relevant experience in instrumentation and controls.
  • Industry Expertise: At least five years of experience in instrumentation/controls in a Refinery/Chemical environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of controls engineering fundamentals and control systems.
  • Competencies: Skills in Industrial Instrumentation, including Industrial Analyzers, Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • DCS/PLC Configuration: Experience in DCS/PLC configuration. Familiarity with Yokogawa DCS and/or Allen Bradley PLC is advantageous.
