The Personal Banker - Sales and Relationship Building role at Citigroup Inc is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the execution of sales and service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The overall objective of this role is to foster relationships with customers to build loyalty and increase sales to individual consumer clients.
Key Responsibilities- Work with business credit requests less than $250K, recognize and refer larger lending opportunities, and cross-sell treasury and related small business products.
- Build referral business opportunities through strategic partnerships and loyalty programs.
- Assist in strategies to grow the small business client and implement sales plans to target existing customers.
- Deliver exceptional client services, including outbound and inbound calls, to acquire new relationships and deepen existing ones through the cross-sell of relevant products and services.
- Provide coaching and guidance to tellers and other branch staff on products and special programs, identifying client needs, and providing referrals.
- Recognize transaction needs of clients, educate them on all service and digital channels, and leverage technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities and present product offers and financial solutions.
- Understand and comply with Citigroup policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in banking, retail, or sales.
- Previous experience with Smart Banking tools and technologies.
- NMLS registration and Safe Act compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm, with occasional Saturday hours.
Job FamilyConsumer Sales, Branch Sales, Full-time.
