_Key Responsibilities:_
• Conduct basic and advanced donor and patient testing, interpreting results to ensure compatibility between donors and recipients.
• Address compatibility issues and provide consultation services to hospitals and transfusion centers.
• Execute both automated and manual testing procedures on blood samples, adhering to strict standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Offer guidance and support to volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant Federal, State, and local regulations while performing your duties.

_Your Role in Our Mission:_
• Collaborate with staff at various medical facilities to resolve serologic issues and provide specialized units for transfusion recipients.
• Oversee the receipt, coordination, shipment, and transport of blood samples, ensuring proper handling and preparation of reagents.
• Maintain exceptional records of rare donor products and perform quality control checks as per state and federal regulations.
• Identify and resolve testing irregularities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
• Conduct maintenance and validation of laboratory equipment, as well as training for internal staff and external customers.

_Qualifications:_
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or Chemistry, with MT(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in blood banking, with MLT (ASCP) certification required.

_Skills and Abilities:_
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
