ROLE SUMMARY:
The Athlete Engagement Specialist position at DICK'S SPORTING GOODS INC focuses on delivering personalized product insights for athletes across various skill levels. In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Coach to organize both in-store and external sporting events, including sponsored camps and clinics. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining exceptional customer service standards, ensuring a seamless, athlete-focused experience
  • Assisting in programming activities to cultivate a fun and secure atmosphere for athletes
  • Building partnerships with local educational institutions and sports organizations for collaborative events
  • Coordinating with the Community Team to plan sports-related initiatives and activities
  • Providing thorough training for teammates to uphold the store's mission and service excellence
  • Effectively managing time in a fast-paced environment while adhering to loss prevention guidelines
  • Promoting company initiatives such as warranty offerings and loyalty programs
  • Offering expert guidance to athletes based on product expertise and fostering a consultative sales approach
  • Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous experience in customer service, with a preference for at least 2 years
  • A customer-centric attitude with a keen eye for detail
Depending on the location, state-mandated clearances may be required for working with minors.
