Facilities Access Director

As the University of Hawai'i seeks to enhance its physical security and access control systems, we are looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Facilities Access Manager.

About the Role:

  • Manage and maintain the university's electronic database of locks, keys, doors, and hardware used to grant access to university spaces.
  • Configure and maintain enterprise electronic access control software systems.
  • Evaluate requests for access to university spaces to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate the review of unique access requests and determine if exemptions to university policy are warranted.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Security Management, or a related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in space management or access management.
  • Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques in space management or electronic access control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems and interpret information accurately.
