As an Assistant Culinary Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the culinary operations across our various venues, including Café Vignette, The Bar at Century Plaza, The Pool at Century Plaza, and the Fairmont Gold Lounge. You will also support our Events and Staff Cafeteria programs as necessary.
Joining a passionate team of chefs, you will foster innovative thinking and a guest-centered approach in all aspects of your responsibilities, from service planning during pre-shift meetings to accommodating spontaneous requests, as well as overseeing food production and maintaining organized and clean workspaces.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior and Executive Chefs in planning, organizing, and executing culinary services.
- Share ideas and suggestions to enhance the work environment and menu offerings.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation for all events and venue menus according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide training and development opportunities for culinary team members.
- Communicate effectively with team members and actively seek guest feedback.
- Execute kitchen tasks that require a high level of skill and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Diploma or certification in a culinary discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager, ideally in a fine dining or luxury hotel environment.
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and committed to personal culinary development.
- Proven leadership and management skills that foster colleague growth, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
- Highly creative with strong service skills and the ability to energize a diverse culinary team.
