About the Role

Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a highly skilled Toxicology Technologist LCMS to join our team in St. Joseph, MO. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing technical and scientific guidance and support to the Laboratory Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and scientific guidance and support to the Laboratory Director
  • Ensure that all duties are properly performed and applicable CLIA regulations are met
  • Perform routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures
  • Communicate company goals, policies, deadlines, and monitor and report on the team's performance to Executives and stakeholders
  • Provide input and ensure compliance to laboratory workflow and process improvements
  • Ensure all duties are properly performed according to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance under the supervision of the Laboratory Director
  • Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained
  • Assure that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications
  • Handle all administration related to hiring/firing, performance management and evaluations, coaching, training, etc. of all testing personnel
Requirements
  • Minimum of B.S. in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
  • Qualify as testing personnel under CLIA guidelines and have at least 4 years experience in high complexity testing in a toxicology laboratory conducting LC/MS testing required
  • MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with Agilent 6420 LCMS and EIA Indiko Plus instrument experience a plus
  • Previous experience with toxicology sample prep required
