Medical Representative, Gastroenterology Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Representative to join our team in the Gastroenterology field. As a Medical Representative, you will be responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics in the field, managing assigned territory and targeted accounts, building strong customer relationships, and solving customer needs to maximize short and long-term sales performance.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed expectations.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Build understanding of customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise to share with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers assigned and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
- Operate effectively in a matrix environment and influence others as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools, with strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach accordingly.
- Preferred: Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas, commercial pharmaceutical industry experience, and in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
