Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team in the Gastroenterology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies as needed.
- Check-in patients, answer their questions, and assist with pre-visit paperwork and forms.
- Complete forms, collect co-payments, and schedule follow-up appointments, tests, and procedures during check-out.
- Field incoming telephone calls, triage appropriately, and provide general support to practice leadership, clinicians, and peers.
- Monitor patient flow and waiting room activity to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience working in a community-based medical practice preferred.
- Epic experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or College-level coursework preferred but not required.
