Wine Director for a Fine Dining Italian Restaurant

We invite you to consider this opportunity if you have:

  • A minimum 3 years within the wine industry (restaurants, retail, or production)
  • Professional certifications from Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirits Education Trust, or Society of Wine Educators
  • Advanced knowledge of Italian wines and regions
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, accounting software, and POS system(s)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and assisting the entire front of the house team with all aspects of service
  • Navigating an extensive wine list with over 1300 selections, centered around Italy and Burgundy
  • Assisting with monthly inventory
  • Assisting with daily ordering, restocking, and organizing wine cellar
  • Promoting and executing monthly wine dinners and educational events for the public

This role requires:

  • The ability to stand/walk for extended periods
  • The ability to lift over 50lbs occasionally

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
