Event Security Specialist

ASM Global, a leading provider of public assembly facilities, is seeking a highly skilled Event Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining high security standards before, during, and after events, including theatre shows, conventions, trade shows, and other events.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Services: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming experience for all attendees.
- Screening and Access Control: Operate a walkthrough magnetometer/metal detecting wand to screen guests, employees, and contractors as needed, and accurately check all guest bags to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation.
- Area Management: Maintain restricted and barricaded areas for security purposes, verify credentials to ensure control of access into restricted areas, and monitor the crowd during events.
- Incident Response: Respond immediately and professionally to guest disturbances/incidents, provide assistance to guests during emergency situations, and work cooperatively with other departments and vendors within the facility.
- Policy Enforcement: Consistently and continually enforce facility policies and procedures relative to prohibited items, disruptive guests, and other security-related matters.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience or experience in guest relations is preferred.
- Skills: Ability to listen and follow instructions, ability to remain calm and focused during times of stress, and ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative to diffuse situations.
