Position Overview:
As a Regional Sales Executive for the Southeast, you will play a crucial role in achieving both short-term and long-term sales objectives that align with Johnny's overarching mission. Your primary responsibilities will include managing relationships with existing commercial growers and expanding our business with new clients in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive annual sales strategy tailored to your territory, ensuring alignment with Johnny's broader goals.
- Oversee the daily execution of your territory's sales plan.
- Conduct market analysis to monitor competitive activities, including pricing, product offerings, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with Finance/Accounts Receivable to establish customer terms.
- Engage with growers to support product trials and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Participate in educational webinars and events to enhance customer engagement.
- Attend regional trade shows and conduct visits to growers.
- Contribute to company-wide meetings and cross-functional teams, providing insights from the commercial sales perspective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in horticulture, sustainable agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in farming.
- 3-5 years of experience in field sales across a wide territory.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively within a geographically dispersed team.
- A customer-centric approach, consistently delivering high levels of service.
- A collaborative mindset, leveraging team relationships for organizational success.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the territory, especially during peak seasons.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and conditions as needed.
