Job Summary

The Respite Worker will provide temporary care and supervision for individuals with developmental disabilities in their home environment. This is a part-time position requiring community driving and visiting families in various home settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide responsible care to restore or maintain family stability
  • Work a minimum of two hours at each respite appointment
  • Follow instructions for client care and report suspected incidents of abuse
  • Use safety precautions and maintain certification of CPR and First Aid
  • Adhere to UCPIE's policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • 2 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid vehicle registration and insurance
Work Environment

This position requires daily travel to clients' homes, with travel not exceeding 40 miles unless approved by the Respite Program Manager.
