Position Overview

The Ranger Group is seeking a qualified individual to oversee the design and execution of electrical engineering projects. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and within the designated timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing comprehensive lists of motors and sensors required for each project.
  • Drafting detailed functional descriptions tailored to project specifications.
  • Preparing project scope documents that clearly outline requirements.
  • Establishing PLC structures categorized by equipment technology.
  • Implementing a PLC tagging system for streamlined operations.
  • Creating a structured drawing format and nomenclature based on drawing types.
  • Conducting necessary electrical engineering calculations.

Collaboration and Management:

  • Engaging with third-party vendors to support the electrical engineering team.
  • Overseeing project scope, schedule, and quality with minimal supervision.
  • Producing design drawings and technical specifications to facilitate project deliverables, including calculations and engineering evaluations.
  • Reviewing and validating designs, drawings, and data from other engineers or subcontractors.
  • Participating in field installations, equipment checkouts, and startups.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical design and project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
  • Experience with shared movement controls, servos, and VFD drives from manufacturers such as Allen Bradley, ABB, and Siemens.
  • At least 7 years of experience in PLC programming, specifically with Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
  • Familiarity with OEE data collection and remote connection technologies.
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical calculations and the ability to make informed recommendations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel 15-25% of the time.
