POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Services Representative plays a crucial role in facilitating branch operational functions and delivering financial solutions. This position involves managing new account transactions and assisting clients in selecting suitable financial products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Facilitates branch operations by processing new account transactions efficiently.
  2. Guides individual and business clients in choosing appropriate accounts and financial products, ensuring opportunities for cross-selling are maximized through effective sales techniques.
  3. Conducts client interviews to gather necessary information, verifies identification, and assists in completing credit applications.
  4. Provides comprehensive support across various branch functions, including new accounts, teller services, and lending, while mentoring less experienced staff.
  5. Handles documentation related to the Bank's electronic banking services.
  6. Processes merchant card applications for the relevant department.
  7. Evaluates and processes new deposit accounts and loans, ensuring compliance with all necessary procedures.
  8. Utilizes computer systems to manage account activities, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records.
  9. Processes loan transactions and manages payments for various loan types.
  10. Represents the Bank at community events to enhance its reputation and attract new business.
  11. Delivers exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and providing solutions.
  12. Issues official checks and manages safe deposit operations.
  13. Handles stop payment requests and maintains accurate records of transactions.
  14. Processes credit reports and manages various administrative tasks related to account maintenance.
  15. Maintains organized documentation and assists in the overall efficiency of branch operations.
  16. Engages in effective communication with clients and colleagues to foster a positive work environment.
  17. Ensures adherence to all banking regulations and internal policies, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  18. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following occupational safety standards.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

This role encompasses specific responsibilities related to branch operations and may include other tasks as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position is primarily office-based, allowing for mobility within the workspace. It may involve occasional travel for business purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a financial services environment.
  • Registered as a mortgage loan originator as per the SAFE Act.
  • Intermediate knowledge of banking operations and compliance regulations.
  • Proficient in computer systems and office software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
