Job Summary

The Academic Advisor II will provide comprehensive academic advising services to students at Temple University. This role involves working with students to develop academic plans, providing guidance on course selection and registration, and helping students achieve their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic advising to students, including developing academic plans and providing guidance on course selection and registration
  • Work with students to identify and achieve their academic and career goals
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to disseminate information regarding curriculum requirements and academic policy
  • Prepare and present student orientation sessions and assist with course selections and registration activities
  • Provide access to information and resources for students to achieve their academic, career, and personal goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in an academic setting in higher education
  • Experience working with student information systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with students from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds
  • Demonstrated computer software experience to include: Word, PowerPoint, Access or similar database
