The Sterile Processing Technician II supports the Operating Room schedule by decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, and sterilizing surgical instrumentation.

The incumbent is accountable for facilitating common goals within the department, independent daily assignment duties, and project duties as assigned within the department.

Key responsibilities include navigating automated instrument tracking system software, clearly documenting processed material, and demonstrating knowledge of biological logins and disinfectants.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about departmental policies and procedures, able to articulate and document findings, and perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values.

Requirements for the Sterile Processing Tech II role include knowledge of disinfectants and chemical germicides, ability to seek supervision when necessary, and utilization of policies and procedures as a resource.
