Senior Manager, Data Science

Join Tax USA's team of innovative professionals as we seek a seasoned Senior Manager, Data Science to lead our cloud-based AI/ML solutions. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of cloud-based AI/ML solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with product teams and clients to deliver robust, scalable solutions that drive tax decisions and provide powerful experiences.
  • Analyze user feedback and activity, iterating to improve services and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain a positive work atmosphere, promoting team collaboration and self-organization.
  • Foster an innovative, inclusive, and diverse team environment, encouraging collaboration and self-organization while delivering high-quality solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in leading high-performing teams of data scientists, engineers, developers, or other data & analytics professionals.
  • Developing applications leveraging cloud-based data services, preferably in AWS or Azure.
  • Developing enterprise machine learning, analytics, or machine learning/data science solutions.
  • Working in mixed Windows/Linux environments.
  • Overseeing the development of C, Python, Scala, or Java solutions.
Additional Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and energize teams to exceed goals and consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • Command of one or more Machine Learning/Deep Learning frameworks, including Keras, PyTorch, Caffe, Scikit-Learn, or Tensorflow.
  • Knowledge of common optimization algorithms and the approaches to tuning and evaluating such algorithms.
  • Knowledge of one or more database platforms, preferably cloud-based.
  • Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining data pipelines in production environments.
Computer Skills:

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.

Work Environment:
  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors as necessary.
  • Independent travel requirement: As Needed.
