Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Upstate University Hospital. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality oral health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dental prophylaxis, apply topical medications, and examine and chart teeth to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Instrument set ups and sterilization, including maintenance of dental equipment, to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Order dental supplies as required and perform other related duties incidental to the work described.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree from an approved Dental Hygiene program and current NYS license/registration as a Dental Hygienist required.
  • Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years related experience preferred.
  • Prior computer knowledge and taking digital x-rays preferred.
