Job Summary
Helio Health is seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join our team in a variety of clinical settings. As a Healthcare Specialist, you will provide medical and counseling services as a member of our multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical services and interpret medical information to clients.
- Monitor and document clients' medical status, signs and symptoms of withdrawal, and report to supervisor or medical director.
- Work with other medical staff for continuity of clients' medical care.
- Communicate with clinical staff regarding clients' medical concerns.
- Provide direct client care, including medical assessment, implementation of medical orders, communicable and infectious disease reporting, and public health and screening protocols.
- Document medical consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning and review in accordance with agency policy and requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed practical nurse currently registered by the New York State Education Department.
- Experience and/or training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
